May 18th of this year is the 24th National Help the Handicapped Day”. The theme is to care about the handicapped so that we make theChinadream come true.
In the morning of May 15th, 2014, Huaqiaolu neighborhood community and Home of Grace co-hosted the activity of help the handicapped to realizeChinadream, which received the positive response and support from local enterprises: Shanghai Rd. Branch of Minsheng Bank, Bosh Family Appliance, Nanjing Branch of Guangzhou Bank, Nanjing Branch of Ningbo Bank, and Community Clinic.
The activity was held at Home of Grace, president Ms Li Enlin, associate general secretary Zhao Dongshu, director of BOD Han Shaning welcomed the guests at the gate, they are: vice chairman of FDP of Gulou district; deputy director of Huaqiaolu neighborhood community, Wang Shufu; Mr. Liu Xiangchu, dean of Nantang Academy; Chen Aimin, general secretary; and the famous calligrapher and painter called the messenger of Naning Plum, Mr. Lian Shan; Mr. Jiang Shoubo, famous calligrapher from Nanjing Artist’s Gallery, Li Kun from Minsheng Bank, Lu Juan from Guangzhou Bank, Guo Ling from Ningbo Bank, and president Wang Feng from Huaqiaolu Community Clinic. There were some participants from Ningxin Sunshine Home, Guxin Sunning house, Fenghuang Daycare center and Boai Nursing Home.
Ms Mao Huiyin, vice president of FDP Gulou made an opening speech, she expressed care and support to the all units from local community; president Li from Minsheng Bank also made a speech. Later, Teacher Wang made an introduction about Home of Grace, he introduced the art wall painted by the participants from three daycare centers, theme of the wall painting is I Have My Color, which was the first art show in Nanjing handicapped centers, reflects the yearn for socializing and having wonderful life of the handicapped. The participants from Home of Grace performed the gesture dance The World full of Love, and the poetry reading The Calling of Love, which won lots of applause.
At the end, Ningbo bank and Minsheng Bank and Huaqiaolu neighborhood community and the clinic donated money and articles to Home of Grace. The host invited four calligraphers from Nantang Academy to paint for them donated units for rewarding their support and love, so that the theme of “paying back and grateful” was been highlighted. Fang Jiuxiang, vice division chief, and sector chief Huo Jiali from Nanjing ERB were presented too.
The aim of this activity is to make the family with the disabled the attention, care and help to the handicapped and the organizations from the leaders of all levels and all the society.
