As invited by Nagoya YMCA in Japan, Nanjing YMCA calls on the pupils and middle school students to participate into the Christmas Cards Designing Contest among the youth both inChinaand inJapan, which is supported byStudyAbilityResearchCenterfor primary and secondary students. The purpose of this activity is to cultivate the seeds of peace in the hearts of the children; the theme is Praying for World Peace, Promoting Friendship betweenChinaandJapan. 15 children participated into this contest, and all the workers will be sent toJapan, compete with the designing works fromAmericaandSouth Koreatogether.

The YMCAs inJapanare against militarism always, against the war, and promoting the young people both inJapanand inChinato keep the world peace actively through reminding the historical events- Nanking Massacre and The Auto-Bomb Explosion inHiroshima. Nanjing YMCA will continue to develop its advantage to peace education base to maintain the friendship betweenJapanandChinain order to make the youth from all over the world to play their roles to keep the world peace.
