On the morning of Oct. 23rd, many senior citizens came to Trojan Square of Xiejiekou Neighborhood Community to join the activity of “Helping the Senior Carnival”, which was hosted by Nanjing Senior Committee, Nanjing YMCA and Xuanwu Civil Affaires Bureau participated. The purpose of the event was to mobilize social resource to serve the senior better.
More than 200 senior citizens from 6 communities around Xinjiekou were attracted by the site of activity, not only they participated into the performance, but also responded to the question about the policy of the elderly-care. Nanjing YMCA sent its volunteers to participate into the performance-Beijing Opera, which was welcomed by the audience; meanwhile, our family shop had a open-marketing there, and Cien Elderly Home set a table to do publicity. Many of the elderly came to inquire about the service of our elderly, and many bought the clothing from our sale. This activity had been supported by Sunshine Volunteers Team to help us to do charity selling.
