In a warm and active atmosphere, the 9th BOD meeting of Nanjing YMCA/YWCA was held at the activity room on the second floor. There were 13 members form the BOD attended, 8 absent for their business, Mr. Ji Qing, deputy general director and Mr. Fang Jiuxiang, deputy section chief of Nanjing Ethnic and Religious Bureau were presented as well; vice president of Nanjing YWCA, pastor Zhang Junhua hosted the meeting.
President Li Enlin reported to the BOD about the service and activities for the youth, and associate general secretary Zhao Dongshu made a report about running situation of first half of 2014 in YMCA, he also mentioned how to enhance the cooperation between YMCA and Two Councils of Nanjing Christianity.
Five topics were discussed among the directors, first, social insurance resubmission of three senior co-workers in YMCA; second, authorization to operation of stocks by the department of secretary; third, the situation of Cien Elderly home and the sustainable development of Home of Grace, these two subdivisions under Nanjing Ys; fourth, the running situation of our second hand shop and its expansion; fifth, the agreement of cooperation with Zitang Hotel Management Company.
The attendees expressed their opinions and advices actively, after a couples hours of discussion, the BOD reached a resolution as follow: the resubmission of social insurance must be solved; the secretary department has right to operate the stocks; Cien Elderly Home shall stand firmly by making long term plan, investing gradually; the development of the second shop shall move steadily and surely; agreed to the proposal of cooperation with Zitang Hotel Management.
At the end of the meeting, deputy general director Ji Qin made a speech, he strengthened that the key point for YMCA is to do social service, each project development shall be with long term plan, the co-workers should anticipate the problems probably happen in the process. Mr. Ji expressed the ERB cares about the return of former office, is trying to negotiate with other departments about this issue.
The resolution of this BOD meeting will be guidance for the work of YMCA, and will promote the development to each project ongoing.
