The opening ceremony of the 2end training program of capacity building for the teachers working for the daycare centers of the disabled was held on May 8th, sponsored by Areopagos Foundation, initiated by Nanjing YMCA/YWCA, cooperated with Nanjing Federal of Disabled People as well. 40 teachers from 38 fostering homes and 20 managers from different communities and districts participated this training.
The opening ceremony was hosted by Zhang Liang, section chief of Nanjing FDP Education section, and Liu Jinrong, inspector of FDP, and Shang Yingzhen, general secretary of the Association of Nanjing Fostering Organizations, Li Enlin, president of Nanjing YMCA/YWCA, and Grethe, Asia Director of Areopagos who was coming to make the evaluation of the program on her trip, were presented in front of the rostrum.
President Li Enlin made an introduction about the cooperation with Nanjing FDP, and the background of the program; later, inspector Liu Jinrong mobilized the participants to express their requests and expectations from this training; Ma Lan, the vice chairmen of the association of Nanjing Disabled People announced the opening the training class.
After the ceremony finished, Liu Jinrong, the inspector and Ma Guohua, office director of Nanjing FDP gave a lesson of laws and regulations about the disabled fostering organizations to the participants.
This training program will persist 4 years, which is Nanjing YMCA/YWCA introduced the funds from Norway by developing its own advantage of international brand, to serve the professional development of the fostering for the disabled in Nanjing, and the training program will improve the vision and capacity of the managers and teachers working for the fostering the disabled
