On the afternoon of 20, January, 2016, Jin Wei, the President of National Council of YWCAs of China and Du Jun, staff came to Nanjing TMCA/YWCA specifically for preparing for the third China-Japan YWCA Peaceful Thinking Trip which will be held next month in Nanjing.
The YWCA of Japan opposes openly to the wrong behavior done by the current Japanese government and the Mayor of Nagoya that they deny the Nanjing Massacre.This open opposition shows that Japanese YWCA loves peace and is against war. Hence, this visit will promote peace education movement among the public in Japan with the theme of facing up to history and bear in the mind those hardships brought by war.
This peaceful trip will be held by the National Council of YWCAs of China and sponsored by Nanjing YMCA/YWCA. Liu Dechang, the president of Nanjing YMCA/YWCA and all staff gave a warm reception to President Jin and Mrs. Du and both sides discussed the schedule of the next trip.
The theme of the trip will be “The Peaceful Trip Starts From The Heart”and the trip will be conducted through various forms , such as expert lectures, field trips, small group sharing and large group exchange,etc.This trip can help Chinese and Japanese YWCAs build a correct historical view and peaceful concepts in the minds of respective locals and safeguard humankind’s peace firmly.
Given that Nanjing YMCA/YWCA just finished The 6th China-Japan-Korea YMCA Peace Forum in last December completely and successfully, we are confident to hold this peaceful trip well .
