Nanjing YMCA set up 6 Grace Volunteers Service Teams in 2013, jointed with choir, opera team and medical team, aiming at serving the home of aged by charity performance and free medical service.

On Friday afternoon, March 29, even it is spring in Nanjing, but the temperature was quite low.  The first team of Grace Volunteering Service went to the AIxin Aged Service Center in Gulou district for its first activity.  The service team performed chorus, solo, duet, operas and dance, which were warmly welcomed by the elderly.  These classic songs and operas made the aged people smile, and put back the beautiful memories of the old time.  The doctors in the service team gave the aged free medical exams, and medical consultation.  After sudden warm, the weather has turned cold again, but in the heart, the aged still can feel the warm of this spring.

Aixin Aged Service Center is the first regular service place of Grace Volunteering Service team of Nanjing YMCA, later, the service team will do tour services for other homes of the aged, just to put the mission “Serve the society and benefit the people” into practice.
