The first National Public Memorial Ceremony was held at the Memorial Hall of the Victims in Nanjing Massacre by Japanese Invaders on Dec. 13th, 2014. The co-workers of Nanjing YMCA watched the ceremony at homes, and the parents meeting between HK andNanjingwere silence two minutes to give their grief to the victims, HK compatriots said that it was honored for them to attend the first public memorial service.
During the weekly meeting on Monday, YMCA organized the co-workers to read the reports about the memorial ceremony and studies the speech of President Xi Jinping. Combined with the advantage of resource, YMCA and YWCA should promote the peace education among the Ys international permanently.
As early as November, in order to develop civil diplomacy and keep the peace and friendship betweenChinaandJapan, Nanjing YMCA cooperated with Nagoya YMCA inJapanto propose making Christmas cards in the theme of peace. 15 excellent works was selected to be shown with other designed cards from all over the world together.

Today, as usual as the past years, Nanjing YMCA will continue to develop its unique function in promoting peace and friendship through civil diplomacy, to organize visitors from abroad to visit the Memorial Hall of Nanjing Massacre and other patriotism education bases. And conduct peace education among the youth, to sow the peace seeds in the heart of next generation.
